Nimball Rewind is a mechanical platformer with time travel -- Time Waster
Each level is quite short. A gripper arm drops you from the ceiling, and you need to roll and bounce until you reach your destination - a gripper arm resting face-up, that you can fall or jump into. In the screenshot you see me trying to leap into the gripper at the end of level 11. That square to the left is a "bouncer platform" (my name, not theirs). When you touch it, it launches you upwards. That can be a good thing, like here, or it can be quite bad, if the ceiling happens to be red. Red surfaces, in general, are "toxic" in this game - you're not allowed to touch them.
What happens when you do, though? This is where "time travel" comes in. Basically, rather than strike out, you can hit SPACE and rewind a bit, kind of like an Undo function [Hello, Braid... -Ed]. When you let go of the SPACE key, gameplay immediately resumes. But you don't get infinite retries, though: touch enough red walls, and eventually you'll have to start the level from the top. All in all, quite a fun platformer!
P.S: You can double-jump (jump while you're in the air). Took me a few minutes to figure that out.

Radiohead for Haiti charity DVD now available on BitTorrent and YouTube as donationware
Radiohead, a British band that made waves by offering its latest studio album for free or "pay what you want", has just endorsed a community-made DVD of its Haiti earthquake charity concert from January 2010. The DVD is downloadable for free via BitTorrent, and you are strongly encouraged to donate as much as you can to Oxfam's Haiti Earthquake and Recovery Fund. Creation of the video was a labor of love; video footage from 14 cameras has been used, and you can choose from four different audio tracks, all recorded by different people. Three Radiohead fans, inez, formengr and andrea, have spent the last year collecting the various sources and compiling them into the definitive video of the concert, and boy have they done a good job.

Enable tethering on your Palm Pre or Pixi with FreeTether
If you've been waiting for an easier way to tether your webOS phone and share its mobile data connection, the webOS Internals team has some good news for you. FreeTether has gone into beta, and that's exactly what the app is designed to do.Once installed, you simply fire up FreeTether, select which interface(s) you want to enable, and configure its options. After that, all you've got to worry about is keeping an eye on your data usage so you don't get dinged by your carrier.
PreCentral reports that the tethered connection feels a bit slow at this point, but this is just the first release. webOS Internals has developed plenty of other great apps for the platform, so expect to see FreeTether improve dramatically in coming updates.
FreeTether is homebrew, so you'll need to make yourself familiar with how to install non-Catalog apps on your device via PreWare. It's a simple process, and there's no risk of bricking your phone -- so head on over to PreCentral for step-by-step instructions. You'll also need to add the testing feed to PreWare.

Kleiner Perkins To Invest In Groupon?s Massive $950 Million Funding Round
Last week we reported that Groupon was closing a massive $950 million funding round at an impressive $4.75 billion valuation in the wake of walking away from an acquisition offer from Google. Groupon already closed half of that ?�around $500 million ?�from Russian firm DST, Fidelity and Morgan Stanley. Now we've heard from multiple sources that distinguished Silicon Valley firm Kleiner Perkins is on the verge of participating in the round as well. It's unclear when the remainder of the round will close or who the other other participants aside from Kleiner will be. Kleiner has recently been making aggressive moves in Silicon Valley, including a $150 million slice of Twitter's recent $200 million funding round.
