Reviewing the Apple TV

We began September with an Apple-hosted press event that saw an overhaul of Apple's music and entertainment products. We end the month by revisiting one of the products previewed at that event--the Apple TV. Unveiled by Steve Jobs during that Sept. 1 music event, the Apple TV began shipping this week.

Macworld editorial director Jason Snell and senior editor Jonathan Seff have spent most of Wednesday testing the new Apple TV for a review that will be posted soon on Macworld.com. But first, they join me in the Macworld Podcast to talk about what they've discovered about Apple's revamped set-top box.

Show Notes

We start out the podcast by recounting what's changed with the Apple TV in this latest iteration. We also mention iFixit's Apple TV take-apart. We also refer to the latest Roku Players in comparison to the Apple TV.

To refresh your memory about the model this new Apple TV replaces, here's our review of the last version of the Apple TV from two-and-a-half years ago.
